{Embracing Friends} | Weekly Blog Hop #10

Welcome to week 10 of the Embracing Friends Blog Hop!

As I mentioned last week, I was a huge slacker, so this week I have two blogs to feature!

The first of the features is Shona Skye Creations. Kristy is awesome at thrifting and her chair re-do is just wonderful! You definitely don't want to miss her awesome finds and recreations!

Next up is For What It's Worth. There's so much I love about Jeannie's blog! A special section for "Home Do-Overs" is awesome and her adorable Sock Pumpkins are the perfect DIY for this time of year! Be sure to hop on over and say hello!

Welcome to week 9 of the Embracing Friends Blog Hop! I'm so sorry that a) this is late, and b) I don't have a feature for you this week. {Embracing Friends} | Weekly Blog Hop #8

Welcome to week 8 of the Embracing Friends Blog Hop! No jabbering from me today! Link up, visit one another, and grab a button!

This week's feature is Donna at The Epicurean Crafter. Here's a little note from Donna!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be featured here today! I love this blog hop and all the new friends that I have made. My name is Donna and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I love gourmet cooking, wine, entertaining and crafting. I have a degree in Anthropology and I also went to Culinary School where I got a degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. I am a catering manager at a large corporate account in Silicon Valley. I work 50 hours a week so I don't have much time to blog or craft but I try to squeeze it in when I can. Luckily, I don't work evenings, weekends or holidays which allows me to have my dream job and still have time to spend with my growing family. I am married to my best friend and we have a precocious 4 1/2 year old daughter and are expecting baby #2 in December.
At The Epicurean Crafter I love blogging about my DIY crafting and culinary adventures. While I am a great cook I am domestically challenged....I would rather craft or cook than clean. I am totally addicted to social media and can be found on twitter @DonnaOneil, Pinterest   and Facebook.

D3C1807D-EEAC-4F2A-86A9-6EDD94CB0BF9-52426-000025DD9CA30D82

Last week, Thyme linked up her blog, 14 Sixty.

Here's what she had to say!
Hello everyone! I am so excited to be here! I’ve had a post featured before, but not a personal feature on a blog hop! I love this hop and love meeting new blogging ladies! So it’s super exciting to introduce a little about me! I write under an alias, Thyme. It’s just easier! I am a stay at home mommy and full time student, crafting, repurposing, thrift shopping, and baking, my way through it all! During the day me and my baby stay pretty busy! {She’s four, but will always be my baby} We play in the mud, watch cartoons, do crafty things, bake, nap time, and everything in between! Every day is different and I enjoy every minute of ‘em! Ok, maybe not every minute, but I love my life here and my wonderful family! I’ve have been blessed to find the most amazing man ever! I’ve had my fair share of bad relationships, and to have found James was something I never thought possible! He still makes me week in the knees!

I am the author and creator of 14 Sixty where I write about all things! When I started I thought I would share a lot of crafty things but I ended up writing more about our favorite recipes and sharing stores about me and my family. I love sharing all things on my blog and meeting new wonderful people! So feel free to swing on by my blog, facebook page, twitter, or pinterest! I would love to see you there!

Thank you so much Kelsey for the feature!

Today's Feature from last week's blog hop: Monkeys & Tutus!

 sib250x250.png

I am so excited that Kelsey asked to feature Monkeys & Tutus this week!  I absolutely love this hop and all the new friends I have made through it!  My name is Misty and I am a stay at home, army wife, mommy to 3 silly lil monkeys under the age of 3! Yes, we know what causes that, haha!  I am love with Jesus and my super amazing GI Joe computer hunk of a hubs along with the 3 lil stinky cuties we made!  Since February is the month of 'love', November is the month all our babies were born! Ha! In November our oldest, Benjamin Monkey Pants will be 3, our Precious Hot Mess of a Princess Cloee will be 2 and our Sweet Baby Monkey, Jaxsen will be 1!  So yeah when we had Jax I had 3 under 2!

Monkeys & Tutus blog is about many things that revolve around the fun and chaos that surrounds having 3 under 3.  Along with fun toddler inspired posts I write about things that inspire my Christian Walk, share recipes, style, some DIY and my quest for health and my journey to lose 100 pounds and I have a fairly new feature called Mommy to Mommy Thursdays Q&A where I interview other mommies about day to day topics that can help us all!

Today's Feature from last week's blog hop: Tempting Thyme.

How cute is that name?
My quick fave three about her blog before I turn it over to Shaunna:
1. First, what an STRONG, INSPIRING woman Shaunna is. Check out her blog if you don't believe me!
2. I love that she has a diverse range of topics on her blog! Recipes, crafts, personal posts. It's all great!
3. The way she writes her posts. I fee like I'm listening to her talk in person, or at least that's how it seems to me :)

And now on to Shaunna!

Tempting Thyme

I cannot believe Embracing Messy wants to feature little ole me! What a huge honor for this newbie blogger. Thank you Kelsey, I appreciate your warm welcome! My name is Shaunna, and I currently live in a small college town {Oxford, OH}…I wonder if Kelsey realizes we are a hop, skip and a jump from each other? Another secret, these past few years I have truly embraced my messy!!! We are kindred spirits, LOL. I am over at Tempting Thyme, a blog that is definitely in the infant stages, gearing up to be a toddler! Still learning the ropes, but having a blast meeting ‘like-minded’ people and yakking about it.

I am a 44 year old, with 2 fabulous (most of the time) teenage boys and a wonderful husband who puts up with all of the chaos that I create. Being a 3 ½ year cancer survivor, I started Tempting Thyme to document my appreciation for life and the truly amazing chance we have here on Earth. Everyday is a gift from God, that needs to be relished and realized for the blessing that it is. I also wanted a place to store all of my favorite recipes, decorating and house projects and what better place to house them all but a blog? Even though I work full-time, and am gone most weekends cheering my boys on in their hockey and baseball games, I do try to carve out some ‘me’ time. Some women consider pampering to involve mani/pedi’s, shopping or massages. My idea of pampering is trying to balance a paint brush in one hand, with a cookie sheet and drill in the other, deciding which to tackle first!

Thanks again to Kelsey, and Embracing Messy, for giving us the opportunity to get acquainted! I hope you get a chance to head on over to Tempting Thyme, my door is always open…..kick back, relax with a cup of java or vino and stay awhile………

Hi everyone, my name is Tanyia! I am so excited to be featured this week, thank you Kelsey so much for the 15 minutes of fame! I will love every second of it! I am 37 and a stay at home mom of three girls. They are 19, 14, and 11. As my girls are older now I have more time for crafting, recipes, blogging, pinterest and my other 101 interests!

My blog is titled Domestic Deficit Disorder. I kind of have crafting ADHD and definitely not much of an attention span for traditional domestic duties like cleaning! Meh! I would much rather be quilting or scrapbooking! hehe. I have been blogging for a few years now and am getting SO close to my 500th post! I love to blog about all the different stuff I do that helps keep me too busy to do the dishes! Come and see me anytime!

My top 3 favorite things about her blog:
1.Work-In-Progress Wednesdays! Tanyia shows off what she's currently working on! Fun!
2. Beautiful Quilting Projects
3. Yummy Recipes!

PLEASE stop by and visit her and check out what she's got going on. Next week, I'll pick a new blog from this week to feature.

Today's Feature from last week's blog hop: Shelly's Creations.

Here's a quick note from Shelly:
Hello there! I am Shelly of Shelly’s Creations.
First, a big thank you to Kelsey for picking my blog to feature this week! I was so excited when she emailed me. I live in Texas with my husband and 10 year old daughter and two fur babies. My blog is new and I am still getting the hang of making blog posts, but I do hope you enjoy what I have so far.
I began scrapbooking in 2009 and it quickly spread to making layouts, cards, mini albums, altered art, mixed media, etc. I began making YouTube videos to feature my work and found a wonderful crafting community on YouTube and on blogs. I had several people ask me about a blog and then I started to see blog link parties but I didn’t have a blog to link people back to so I created Shelly’s Creations. I hope you will come by and see me and also check out my blog as well as my YouTube channel and become a subscriber. I love finding inspiration on blogs and Pinterest and would love to check out your blog as well.
Hope you will come see me! Thanks again Kelsey.
Hugs, Shelly

My top 3 favorite things about her blog:
1.Videos! She loves to use videos to show her work, which is super cool!
2. Her light box tutorial! I NEED to do this!
3. She shares DIY and Recipes! What more could a girl want!?

PLEASE stop by and visit her. Her blog is super cute! Next week, I'll pick a new blog from this week to feature.

So now, it's time to link up. Have fun, and I look forward to getting to know so many of you!
